A Love of Children, Stories, and Imagination
My love for storytelling is closely connected to my love for children.
One of my favorite artists is Charles Schulz, the creator of the beloved Peanuts characters. I have always admired the way those characters use simple situations, humor, and everyday experiences to communicate ideas that can resonate with both children and adults.
When my son was young, I even had the opportunity to take him to meet Mr. Rogers during a local television station appearance with Daniel Tiger. That experience remains a special memory for me and reflects the kind of warmth and connection I hope to bring to my own work.
My Educational Background
I graduated from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with concentrations in child and educational psychology.
My background has helped shape the way I think about children, learning, relationships, and the importance of meaningful experiences during childhood.
Through Baxter’s Tales, I hope to combine those interests with my love of animals and storytelling to create stories that children can enjoy while discovering valuable lessons along the way.
